I am amazed everyday at the progress Zach is making. Even with his delays he is still a very determined boy and I will often find him doing things he couldn't do yesterday.
The other day while I was in making the beds in the morning I hear a very loud bang, crash, bang coming from the loungeroom. I headed out there but couldn't hear any crying. I was started to wonder what had happened..... this is what I found when I walked into the loungeroom....
He spotted me with the camera ....
And was sooo very proud of himself. This kid can't sit, he can't crawl and most definately can't walk and he has pulled him self up onto the toy box! I'm going to have to keep an eye him!
But how cute is this little bottom and toes ??!!
And don't my boys (I love saying that!) look like just the perfect pair!
And we can't forget the cheeky but always beautiful Miss Anna (who decided it was a good idea to take her nappy off in the cot before her midday sleep! Thankfully but strangely her nappy AND her cot was completely dry!)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here is the ever stunning Ashlee, in her school uniform. Don't you just love the colours?! L-o-v-e-l-y ..... hehe. Know really its not to bad. What is a school uniform really anyway, just some clothes to make everyone look the same. I prefer it at school.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And my little BIG boy....Mitchell - love ya gorgeous!
Again it took me a day or two to complete this post so I'm leaving it here for now.....

I've been SHOPPING!
Op shopping that is! It was great. I decided that we would pop down the local one for a few minutes before the twins went down for their morning nap. Well, we ended coming home HOURS later with a few great buys and a couple of new hair cuts. So here are the cute and lovely little things we found...
Can you believe that this entire bag was only $1 !! Mostly full of clothes for Zach and Anna and a couple of Just Jeans t-shirts for me.
This fabric is actually a skirt but its a HUGE skirt and will be great to cut up and make some shorts out of for Mitch and Zach. I fell in love with the fabric!
I thought this was cute and would make some thing nice....
I found this!! It a 'make you own button set'! I was thrilled! You just choose your own fabric and cover your buttons! Brilliant idea!
I also got this jar of buttons - mostly blues this time but there are some little pink ones in there.
And lastly there was this..... I couldn't pass it up. Its old but its lovely and it just had to come home with me...
So there you have it. And we got all that for a total for $3!!!! I love the local Oppy! It always has great stuff and its soooo cheap! Better be off, heaps to do. Maybe more later....

Just to confuse everyone
I have decided to change the name of my blog .... sorry Mel!
I am having a little dabble in Digital Scrapbook designing and I going to start up a new blog for that that will include links to freebies etc but I would like them both to have a similar name and I have come up with one that I like. Not giving it away now but watch out in the next few days! There will be a bit of a change. I don't think you will have to change any links you have or anything so hopefully it won't be any effort for you.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Today we (being me and Mitchell) decided to do some cooking and cook we did! Had an absolute blast but still trying to clean up after it ... haha. We cooked a yummy Vanilla cake with White Chocolate Frosting and yummy vanilla cream in the middle (sprinkled with Cocoa of course!). Next up was some Double Choc Chip Cookies and some Plain Choc Chip Cookies. Do you know that out of the 20 cookies we baked there are only 5 left!! The culprit will surface I'm sure when they start to feel ill. Thankfully I was able to devour the second peice of the YUMMY cake - yes the second! I'm shocked to, usually I'm left the crumbs!
What else, ahh yes. We made some super duper yummy sausage rolls too! SOOO much nicer than any store brought ones too. The kids devoured them for dinner, well not all of them but most of them. There are some left over to pack as lunches tomorrow. I was totally shocked that Zach, my Mister Fussy won't eat anything little boy, could eat an entire one fast enough! He loved them! I know what I will be making more of again soon. Anna was not so keen but she hasn't been keen on much food all day so I think she might be feeling a little off.
We have plans tomorrow to do some more baking and I really need to crack down and get some new nappies cut out ready to sew up. These two little ones are not so little anymore and are growing out of all thier medium sizes. Thankfully I have a lot of AbbyGro One Size so I'm safe there. I'm really looking forward to getting back into my sewing now that things have settles down after the move! Righty, better head off and finish cleaning up. Hopefully get some photos up of cooking adventures tomorrow.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lastly sending out some Hugs and Kisses to Mum, don't work to hard ok! Make sure you have some time for yourself. Looking forward to seeing you soon!

Bird Coffee Sweater Giveaway!
Take a look at this! Isn't it just adorable?!
It is exactly what I need. If I don't win I might just have to try my hand at making one of my own.

Today we discuss....
the effects of gravity and also the effects of a trampoline on two 15 month babies! (More on that in a minute)
I know, I know I've been a very bad blogger...things have been a bit hectic here lately and there has been a lot of running around. We will start with the oldest...
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
{Ashlee} - Currently on a mini holiday with my brother and his wife, Mel. They have gone to the back of whoop whoop to pick up a puppy. The drive was about 6 hours from Canberra. I'm sure she is having a great time. She has some what recovered from a little incident involving school, a mini tramp and a badly twisted ankle that in the beginning we thought was broken {ahhhh}, considering she has regional athletics next month! She had crutches for a week and still limps around but thankfully it is not broken. Ashlee LOVES her new school in Bombala and when I brought up the subject of ever moving back to Bairnsdale she was horrified! Quite funny considering she never wanted to leave in the first place.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
{Mitchell} - Growing into a wise and witty young boy. Tries to be very helpful and loves his brother and sisters to death! New shoes are his highlight at the moment and he spends his days bouncing on his trampoline and playing in the dirt with his trucks. He is such a typical boy!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
{Zachary} - Plenty of new things going on with him. We have had a (tentative) diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy for him. Horrifying to begin with but after seeing specialists and discussing his long term health it is really not such a big deal. Thankfully it is quite a mild case but it does explain a lot when it comes to his development. You can read more about what exactly CP is here. His treatment at this point will involve Physio and Physical Therapy (in the warmer months we have the option of a hydro therapy pool). Having said all that, his development is slow but this last week his started to pull himself up on furniture to a kneeling position and recently to a standing position (although he does find this difficult). His main areas of concern at the moment are sitting and crawling. Sitting being on the very top of the list. He recently has recovered from a chest infection that saw him living on Panadol and Antibiotics but thankfully that has passed now. He is extremely chatty and will hold a wonderful conversation, now if only I could understand what he was saying! Next Physical Therapy appointment in Cooma is next Thursday and the next Paed appointment is October 27th with our new Paed in Canberra Dr Roser.
Now Zach is boy that will NEVER sleep ANYWHERE but his own cot - at the height of his illness we would find him sleeping in the middle of the lounge room floor! Now that's sick!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
{Anna} - What can we say about little Miss Anna. She is the cheekiest little show-off! She crawls around and cruises the furniture. Just last night she decided she was ready to LET GO! Standing there looking around at all of us with a cheeky 'look at me!' grin. She then proceeded to do it again and again. I was able to get some photos on the phone, will hopefully be able to get them off and up loaded before I post this. She chats away and says a lot of understandable words, which is helpful. Both have FINALLY begun to sleep through the night after discovering Anna is really Lactose intolerant. No more waking up at 2am with pains in the belly or diarrhoea! We have changed her to Soy milk and it is working wonders. Next appointment is on October 2nd in Sale, Victoria! This is our Paediatric Opthamologist's appointment. Then we also have our appointment with the lovely Dr Roser on October 27th.
I guess I should really update you about ...
{Brett & me} - No, no. No exciting news or anything. We are both well. Cruising along and very happy in our new abode here in lovely Delegate. Brett has fallen into a routine of 7:30pm bedtime ready for his 2am wake time. The first few weeks were a little hard on him as the twins settled into their home and were a little unsettled at night making it hard for Brett to get enough sleep but we are over that now. Although I don't think waking up at 2am to start work is much fun! I'm great. Loving it here, meeting new people and staying in contact with old friends too.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now on to our'discussion' Well not really. More like come and look at these photos!
Firstly the effects of gravity...on a 4 year old boy with a (rather heavy) back pack on his back and a set of stairs (outside). This is the resultof our experiment. (This photo is two days later, I wish I had taken a photo at the time. The egg on his head was huge!! Also notice the nose...)
Ok, so the photo doesn't really show it but it is rather bruised, poor little man.
I tell you, in the beginning I didn't have a clue what had happened but after a few quite deductions I worked out (and was later confirmed by Mitch) that he had over balanced on the top step of the stairs leading down from our back deck (about a metre high) and fallen face first onto the pavers below. (Just as we were about to head to playgroup, which we never made it to).
Secondly, the rather hilarious effects of a trampoline on two 15 month olds! Just take a look at these photos and you will see what I mean....
Now it has only taken me TWO DAYS to write this post and now I will leave it there or it will forever remain a draft, and we don't want that. See you all again soon! xx

Side tracked...
I have been reading a few blogs this afternoon and came across this, its to see how well you spell and if you fall for the common mistakes. I did pretty well I think. English has always been a favourite subject of mine and I always aced that class with nothing less than an A. (Although you will probably pick up my mistakes now ... lol).
Your Common Spelling Mistake Score: 75% Correct |
Your spelling is excellent. You don't fall for common spelling pitfalls, and you spell almost everything correctly. |
Do You Make Common Spelling Mistakes?
How do you fair?

Anyway, I am in the middle of a post that I have been trying to complete for two days now so check back soon!

Yes I am alive!
Hello to everyone again!
As the title suggests I am a live just very very busy! Ok, first things first....
I want to extend a HUGE thank you to my beautiful Mum and my wonderful sister-in-law Melissa for their help packing and sorting as we prepared to move. Honestly without them I would probably still be back in bairnsdale trying to get my act together ... lol! So...

Mum and Melissa
You help was HUGELY appreciated!
We have now been here in Delegate for 2 weeks. Can you believe it?! Time really flies. I haven't got nearly as much unpacking done that I would have liked but with everyone sick including another hospital visit for Anna recently (more on that in a minute) I have spent most of my time carrying babies, wiping noses and changing awful nappies! (Also the reason I fail to blog as much as I would like) I tell you its times like these that wish I was using disposables - I have stuck to my guns though and kept with my yummy soft MCN's. I know I would miss them ... lol! Now Anna's hospital visit. Nothing to major, after having a little cold for a few days she started having some trouble breathing and coughing a lot. From our previous experiences I erred on the safe side and headed off to the 'local' hospital (30 minutes away)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So I'll try again to get this post finished and published. I'm being super lazy to and some of this is a cut and paste job from an email I sent recently --- shhhhh!
The kids are fine, Anna is recovering. She required some Ventolin through the Neb and is back on Predmix (a steroid) to help here lungs recover. They have also upped her Ventolin to 6 puffs 4 times a day (from 2 puffs twice a day) and put her back on Flixotide (a 'preventer' - at least it is meant to 'prevent') twice a day to see if that helps until the weather warms up again. Apart from that she is quite happy, although she hates her meds! We are still getting the run around for Zach unfortunately. The local Paediatric OT has recently quit I just found out and 7 phone calls later I finally got in touch with one in Queanbeyan but she was at lunch - that would be right! - so I'm waiting for her to call me back. I'm actually quite a bit worried about him. Although he is bright and happy enough the problems with his legs are not good. There are a few things that could be the problem but I would have to go in depth to explain them so I will leave that for now. Just pray for him, hopefully we can sort it out soon. We will be seeing the Paediatrician in October so if he isn't improving by then then we can take it to the next level. Anna will also need to see a new Opthamoligist regarding her eye/s too. Oh boy, it never ends.
Thankfully Mitchell is well. Brett put up his trampoline over the weekend and he loves it. He is loving the country lifestyle and we will start back at a playgroup hopefully this week or next. I think he misses playing with the other kids. Ashlee is LOVING Bombala Primary School like you would not believe!! Yes it certainly is a HUGE change from the girl that didn't want to leave Bairnsdale. Today they had a teachers strike until 11am and she was VERY disappointed that she couldn't go to school this morning. Quite funny really. I finally got her uniform order today so she will be able to wear that now.
I'm just going to post this now and come back later with up dates. We had an appointment today with the health nurse showing maybe another problem with Zachary {cry} but I'll go into that later. Please pray for little babies. They have been through so much and really just need a break!
I'll leave you with some photos (that I think we are now revisiting) to brighten your day!
My!! haven't they all grown so much!
